Brandon Vaccaro is a composer and performer based in Denver, CO. He studied composition with Chris Malloy, Donald Keats, William Hill, Malcolm Lynn Baker, and Dave Hanson. His principal guitar teachers were Masakazu Ito and David DiMichaelis.
Brandon has worked with a number of diverse ensembles including the Experimental Playground Ensemble, Kallisti, Free Love Ensemble, Coefficient of Friction, Ground, and Shutter Trio.
His major works include Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano, Die Morgensheutegesternwelt: a Microtonal Work for Eight Guitars, a string quartet entitled Shadows of our Youth, Sonatina for Piano, Breaks for baritone voice and chamber orchestra, Blessed Dhyana for classical guitar, and ROTA: a Game for Nine Players.
He is currently a lecturer in the Composition and Theory Department at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music
