A former journalist turned composer, Nupur Tustin is also a hobby pianist with a lifelong love of music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. While private piano lessons have given shape to her works, she is largely a self-taught composer. Her study of piano began in her hometown of Calcutta, India. She now lives in California with her husband, two-and-a-half year old daughter, and eleven-month son. She composes her music at a 1903 Weber upright, using Haydn's method of noodling around to come up with motifs she likes. Her works may be found on her web site: http://ntustin.musicaneo.com
