WORLD PREMIERE: The Holy Sonnets of John Donne

| New song cycle THE HOLY SONNETS OF JOHN DONNE will be premiered Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 8:00 pm CST at the University of Oklahoma School of Music.
Tenor Joel Burcham commissioned the work, which sets the same nine sonnets set by Benjamin Britten in his cycle of the same name. Joel and pianist Elizabeth Avery will be performing the premiere.
In addition, Dr. David Anderson, OU Assistant Professor of Renaissance Literature, will speak on John Donne's work before the performance. After the performance, composer Juliana Hall will be joining the performers and Dr. Anderson for a Q&A with the audience.
