About this work:
The music on the tape is composed entirely from the deconstructed sounds of gambling: slot machines, roulette wheels, dice, poker chips, coins, cards, the big wheel, etc. The voice on the tape belongs to Tom Martinet, who was trained to be a priest but has worked the Las Vegas dice tables since 1974. Bimstein interviewed Mr. Martinet in Moapa, Nevada, and then reassembled his words into the text of the work.
