DUO SERAPHIM with BENDING ANGELS (2002)

Piera Paine

About this work:
DUO SERAPHIM with BENDING ANGELS. Total duration of piece is 7:35. EXCERPT is from the end section (1:31 min.) and is an Mp3 under recordings. This is an homage to Monteverdi’s ‘Duo Seraphim’ (orig. arranged for tenors) from the 1610 Vespers and in honor of his anniversary in 2002. This is an original composition with microtonal arrangements & choirs and original solos & multivox for Voice, Cello and Guitar. The first 14 measures of this ‘Duo Seraphim’ have been worked into the piece. Electroacoustic with massed choirs, microtonal guitar and cello and mixed solo voices. Would work well for film or dance. The solo voices (Pieravox) have been intentionally mixed under the bending choirs as though eclipsed or enveloped by the clamor of descending wings reaching toward earth. Can be adapted for live performance. All voice, composition and production ©(p) Piera Paine, Pierides Productions, 2002. All rights reserved by composer/producer/vocalist.
