About this work:
This work was written in one month on request of Dr. Robert Ricks of the Catholic University of America. The orcestra was given three rehearsals and the soloist, Laura Roelofs, had one month to learn the solo part. It was first performed at the Baltimore Museum of Art in March of 1985.
