About this work:
This work is scored for woodwind and string quintets with piano. Forces may be doubled for performance with a chamber orchestra. The last verse has two sets of lyrics. If an encore is asked for, the entire work is to be repeated - faster with each successive repeat until the conductor decides to call it off. At that point the second set of lyrics are to be used.
