About this work:
This work is the first in a series of pieces based on the verses of Walt Whitman. In this piece I attempt to explore the lyrical, 'singing' qualities of the oboe.
The work was first performed last year at Lawrence University by oboist Howard Niblock. A sound sample of the work is available at my website.
