About this work:
Setting my own prose, this is a "spoken word" quintet. Entrances are carefully marked--where one performer begins at a certain point in another's line. The formal structure of the piece most closely represents Sonata form, and is NOT free-form or improvisatory. The piece works best in a small intimate setting, where performers are close to the audience. Only minimal musical skill is required to perform--in fact, for the premiere, the vocal 5 part was read by a local radio personality.
