About this work:
This piece contains the following songs: I Can’t Tell You My Name, Hotel, I Look Up, & Four Evasions, poems by Margaret Atwood. As I began this project, soprano Eileen Strempel asked me to consider the poems of Canadian poet Margaret Atwood. Upon reading Ms. Atwood’s poems I found it difficult to choose only four for this project. It was a pleasure for me to musically interpret these poems.
Four Settings of Margaret Atwood was recorded by soprano Eileen Strempel and pianist Sylvie Beaudette and is available on my debut CD entitled Creation’s Voice.
