About this work:
Time Song II Howling through Time for female singer, flutist and percussionist is Mr. Nakano's dissertation work for his Ph.D. in composition at the University of California at San Diego. The work reflects his current interests and ongoing research of the various Japanese traditional music and theaters including Gagaku music and the dance theatre, Bugaku, the Nhou Theater, a variety of folk singing and instrumental techniques in Shakuhachi, Biwa, Shamisen and Taiko drumming.
