About this work:
American Composers Alliance (www.composers.com); exists in both original 4-channel and 2-channel mixdown. Realized in the electronic studio of SUNY Albany (hence the title) using Moog equipmant. The main sections of the piece explore interacting bells, synthesized drums and gongs, and swirling birds over sounds of a cnstantly moving surf. Selected and performed at the 1972 World Music Days in Iceland. Originally on 15 ips tape, the 2-channel version has been transferred to CD.
