About this work:
Sextet for Flute, Clarinet, Violin, 'Cello, Percussion, and Piano. Twelve pitches in twelve minutes for six players. The mood, volume, and number of pitches available to use follows a hyperbolic curve up and down (and from calm to activity) over the course of the 12 minutes, peaking at 7 minutes. Each pitch is then removes in the order in which it was introduced. For example, for the first minute, all we here is F, then we get E and play between the two, then C, etc., ending on A-flat.
