About this work:
The PIANO QUINTET was commissioned jointly for the Cassatt String Quartet and the Finger Lakes Chamber Ensemble. The Cassatt Quartet gave the premiere of the first movement with pianist Steven Heyman in 2004, and the entire work was premiered by the Finger Lakes Chamber Ensemble in Ithaca, New York, in October of 2006. The three movements are titled: "Shaping the Invisible," "Glacier," and "Spring Images."
