A Haiku Triptych For Clarinet & Piano
Akmal Parwez
About this work:
A Haiku Triptych was inspired by the poetry of the great Haiku poet Matsuo Basho (1643-1694). It was composed to commemorate the 300th death anniversary of the poet and is dedicated to the memory of my teacher and mentor, Yasushi Akutagawa, who taught me the importance of subtle nuances in a work of music.
