About this work:
Three spirited pieces for flute duet written for Patricia Spencer and Tara Helen O'Connor: 1) Monkey See, a lyric, leisurely canonic song; 2) Mirror, Mirror, a dramatic and quixotic piece with canonic inversions; and 3) The Chase, an exhilirating close canon. This is a flute version of Sock Monkeys for 2 Clarinets, which is itself a revised and rewritten version of "Miniatures" for 2 clarinets written for composer/clarinetist Meyer Kupferman.
