About this work:
Minimalist work for 9 trombones, 3 clarinets, 3 percussionists. Based on a process of exchanging notes of a triad. Each triad s sustained as long tones, then changes to the next through substitution of a single note for a new one. Then the voicings exchange once more. After each exchange a soloist improvises on the triad pitches. The process can be indeterminate, but this version is largely through-composed.
