About this work:
Composed for Alex Timmerman and Het CONSORT of The Netherlands, Bloemen van Spanje consists of six pastorals inspired by the flowers of Spain. Its two versions are scored for two guitars and strings or for two guitars and mandolin orchestra. The work was premiered in Zwolle, Netherlands, by Het CONSORT and soloists Mark & Beverly Davis on 5 July 2008. mp3s of the Sibelius playback may be found here.
