Mexico
Leon Milo
About this work:
Mexico, a piece written especially for the trio d’Argent, Paris, is a composition of contrasting images, sonorities, memories. Scored for three flutes and electronics, the three flutists evoke a mythilogical or natural “spirit” world which is in constant conflict with other realities, energies.
The electronics are made in the most part from sounds derived from the movment of air. Virtual and real “flutes” as well as other objects are set into resonance by this force. From time to time, there are glimpses of other music, other voices invading the performance space.
