About this work:
An original melody using the traditional Latin text. Lyrical, flowing, to be performed by soprano and alto. Two sopranos or two tenors could also perform it. Piano or organ accompaniment. World premiered in recital on April 9, 2011 at the Milbank Memorial Chapel, Columbia University Teachers' College, by Felicity Graham and Jody Mullen, sopranos, with Jonathan Faiman accompanying on piano. (The work can also be performed with a two-part women's or children's chorus. See the choral version.) The next performance will be at St. Joseph's Monastery Church in Baltimore, MD, at 3PM on September 11, 2011, with sopranos Tona Brown and Schauntice Marshall, accompanied by pianist Adam Graham.
