Far in the distance the majestic mountain sighs

Alvez Barkoskie IV

About this work:
Far in the distance the majestic mountain sighs, clouding his vision. Depression overtakes him. He watches Autumn’s life pass. With the falling of each auriferous leaf, Autumn grows closer to death. The air is heavy with anxiety, the river heads south, swiftly away from the impending frost. The river’s wisdom is that of a sage, He senses Autumn’s final hours. Naive is Autumn, confident he can prolong his life he holds onto his last treasure, The last golden flake, clinging to the lifeless tree. It releases its grip on life and freefalls down. Simultaneously it is thrust upon the ground with the first flake of snow. Winter is born. Katelynn Jacob (b. 1989)
