About this work:
Created for performance in conjunction with Modern, Jazz, and Interpretive Dance ensembles, most of the piece consists of 8-bar segments. Dissonance is create via the harmonic asymmetry of the vibe and marimba parts. Six of the 8-bar segments in the marimba part focus on C-minor, with the other 2-bars being Eb-minor.
