Symphony 536 in 3 Mvts

Franklin Morris

About this work:
The general sytle of this symphony is reminiscent of the large symphonies of the 19th century. The harmonic style is midway between tonal and atonal; and the melodic style similar to the climactic sturm and drang style of that same century (especially in the first Mvt) In the 2nd Mvt is a resemblence to the classic rondo, where in this work the repeating A section is a heavy pops beat. Closer to this century are the electronic sounds and effects which occur most in the 3rd Mvt to suggest glactic space. There is a feeling of expansiveness to fit a wide range of feelings and emotions.
