A Carol v2
About this work:
"A Carol v2" is a brief, concise setting of Gerard Manley Hopkins' poem "Moonless darkness stands between" in an alternate version employing an exclusively diatonic, yet expressive, harmonic language. The reference by Hopkins to Christmas at the end not only suggested the title but is also a key to understanding the meaning of the poem.
