These three movements express three different portrayals of or reactions to New York City by the composer. The first express itself in an almost popular song indiom using mostly romatic orchestra sounds. The second uses a more playful or rhythmic language mixing in many electronic sounds. The third reverts to a romantic idiom against but in a more abstract way.
