Heavy Dance
Paul H. Kirby
About this work:
This composition is intended for school (high or junior high) string orchestras. The tunes are deliberately "bounced" back and forth among the instruments so all students get an interesting part to play. While the rhythms are tricky, there is a way to teach each rhythmic pattern separately to all the students at once, then they should be prepared to play the piece itself.
