About this work: This was a present to the composer's wife for Christmas. Winter in Vermont is a tough time, with short days and very cold nights (as low as -40C/-40F in the deepest weeks). This bittersweet piece for chamber string orchestra mirrors the glistening snow in that slow-motion season.
