About this work: Long ago there was a Coney Island restaurant called Childs. David Mahler and the composer shared a love of food and funny, so the text from the Childs cookbook for candied sweet potatoes was used, and the music was commissioned by David Mahler for the 2007 We Are All Mozart project.
