About this work: A takeoff on the long-lined Renaissance madrigals, this music was extracted from the second movement of my Triple String Quartet, where the third quartet plays in an quasi-Elizabethan style. The music's text implies that the singers can't ever breathe ... which is true. Fun, for good madrigalists.
