All solo passages are spoken. Consonants in parentheses (i.e. (zzz)) that appear immediately after a word represent the last sound of that word, and should be reached as soon as the word can be pronounced. Example: Bass in m. 1. Consonants or syllables in parentheses that appear well after a word should be sounded at the point that it is written. Example: All parts in mm. 108-109.
