About this work:
Los Fantasmas de Bernabe was inspired by the massacre of the Charrua indians
during the presidency of Fructuoso Rivera, -the first Uruguayan president- in 1831. His nephew Bernabe Rivera organized and directed the killing that totally decimated this indomitable people forever.
