Dance of the Red Dreidl

About this work:
"Dance of the Red Dreidl," for solo piano, is a theme and variations based on the Israeli "S'vivon" Chanukah song. During the course of the piece, the dreidl (of the Hebrew "Sevivon" theme) spins through many different composers' styles (including Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin and Ives) until the inevitable crash (a la "Red Shoes"), in which a "Dies Irae" version of the theme is featured.
