About this work:
Movement 1 - Variations Main theme is slowk legato, and chamber like; first variation gives theme a pizzacato treatment and adds a se[arate melody and effects: second variation gives theme a prominent melody treatment, but add appegio decorations. there is a final coda with a single line quiet close. Movement 2 - Insect Flight A descriptive piiece in which the incessant, rapid, skittiness of the title is reflected thruout by rapid, skittish electronic sounds. Movement 3 - Andante Espressivo A romantic, bittersweet chamber piece has many timbral changes thruout but ends with a question mark.
