Three Fantasies on Christmas Carols (for Band)

About this work:
The three Christmas carols are: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Silent Night, and Wassail Song. The compositions are not arrangements, but true fantasies. They were composed in separate years, beginning in 1990, with the last being composed in 2006. Each has been performed separately by such concert bands as the Allentown Band (PA), the American Concert Band (NY), and the Goldman Band (NY). They were premiered together as a suite on December 5 and 11, 2010, by the SUNY Orange Symphonic Band, conducted by Kevin Scott. (The December 5 venue was the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Monroe, NY. The December 11 venue was the Paramount Theatre in Middletown, NY.) These fantasies are moderately easy to play and are very accessible to a holiday audience. God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen is published by Carl Fischer.
