About this work:
Movement 1 - Improvisation. Uses a small group of instruments and electronic sounds with the freshness and spontaneity of a live performance. Mpvement 2 - Lament. The opening group of chords is used as a motto thruout the piece as it evolves to a quiet ending. Movement 3 - Animato. A series of rapidly running and changing notes is added to by an ever changing rapid series of melodic fragments; the two elements continue to an abrupt ending. Movement 4 - Postlude. This movement is characterized by a dialogue between a somewhat assertive line of voices and a similar changing group of instrument; comments. .
