The three folk songs, which make up the three movements, are: All the Pretty Little Horses, Streets of Laredo, and The Wee Cooper of Fyfe. These are not arrangements, but true fantasies, each published separately by Carl Fischer. See the performance notes under the string orchestra version. The string quartet version has
