Winter Waltz (for piano)

Milos Raickovich

About this work:
Winter Waltz was written in December of 2005 for pianist Nada Kolundžija. An orchestral version followed in 2006. This piece is entirely composed with only five tones. I was influenced by the Viennese waltzes, Tchaikovsky, Russia, and snow in Brooklyn. There is also a more personal note, or rather, there are several very personal notes: Mi (for Miwako, my wife), A (Adam, my son), A-A (Ana, my daughter), and even more…
