About this work:
Triptych – A triptych is a work of art that is divided into three sections, or panels. Usually, the middle section is the largest, and therefore the centerpiece of the work. This does not mean, however, that the viewer’s eye immediately focuses on the middle panel. Depending on what direction you approach the piece you might first spot the right panel, or the left panel. After the initial viewing of a panel, there is no protocol for which part of the triptych should be viewed next. With this in mind, I decided to create a work that has three interchangeable sections that are loosely related. The order of the three sections is left to the performers, very much like the art viewer who decides in what order he will view the panels.
