About this work:
"Sundogs" is the name given to an optical illusion whereby atmospheric ice crystals make what look like bright flares appear around the sun. The music is mercurial, alternating between episodes of violent intensity and long stretches of icy stillness. Winner of the Kuttner String Quartet Composition Prize.
