About this work:
"Two Marimbas", for marimba duo, is an homage to Steve Reich. Repetitive melodic cells accumulate, arrive at a central plateau, then gradually disappear, as in a palindrome. The piece is dedicated to Baldwin-Wallace College professor of percussion George Kiteley.
