About this work:
DUO for HORN AND CELLO written in 1985, is comprised of two sections: Dialogue and Animato. The first is a lyrical and unbarred “dialogue” between the two instruments creating a sense of seamless melody. The second section contrasts the more languid style of the first as it is animated and metrically-strict. The work is unified in a brief coda where thematic material from the first section is restated.
