About this work:
Movement 1 - Landscape. Movement for full orchestra , beginning slow and sstained, with later sections being louder and more active, enidng softly. Movement 2 - Dance Etude. In contraasting sections, generally fast, ending dramatically. Movement 3 - Orchestral Essay. More of a dramatic, romantic piece than piece than previous movements, with highly contrasting sections and climactic ending. Movement 4 - Sections of this movement contrast the orchestra with a string quartet and voices. The ending is quiet.
