About this work:
Remember From Womb Came (2008) is my first electroacoustic composition. I wanted to create a self-portrait in sound, and thought back to the very beginning. In the piece I recreated and imagined sounds I may have heard from the womb, which leads into the birth into an entire new sound world. Sound material I used was mostly recorded sounds of humans, instruments and objects, arranged, altered and enhanced with technology, to create the collage of sounds and possible memories.
Remember From Womb You Came (2008) was premiered at the Society of Composers, Inc. (SCI) Student National Conference in October 2008, and was selected for performance at the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival in April 2009.
