Autumn Rain was composed and performed by Gerald Starlight and recorded at Harvestworks in Soho, New York. Steve Gorn, renowned bansuri flutist commented on Autumn Rain, "Great production and fine shakuhachi playing", 3/2010. Autumn Rain received its premiere broadcast on the program Classical Discoveries Goes Avant-Garde on WPRB.com, Princeton University, New Jersey on November 16th, 2011 and was also broadcast on the In All Languages program on WKCR.org, Columbia University, New York City on October 28th, 2012 and the Afternoon New Music program on February 16th 2015.

Autumn Rain is a homage to the rainy season.
