About this work:
Triaria is a fantasy-variations-and-metamorphosis of a simple slow lyric melody into an aggressive contrapuntal texture and and back again to a retrograde of its former self. It was commissioned by Ensemble Radieuse and was premiered at the Petrie School of Music at Converse College, Spartanburg, South Carolina on March 13, 2001.
