Symphony 975 in 3 Movements
Franklin Morris
About this work:
Movement 1 - Intro, Dance, and Coda. A three part construction in which the quiet intro uses voices, strings, and piano; the dance adds a persussive element, and the coda returns to materials of the intro. Movement 2 - Allegro Grandioso. The aggressive, grandiose material begins the worrk; the choral element adds on later, and the two continue on to a dramatic ending. Movement 3 - Andante Semplice. There are very slow, static melodies in this work amidst high pitched, even slower sustained, other-world chords; final percussive material enters before a final quiet ending.
