Hudson Views
Janet Grice
About this work:
Hudson Views reflects places in Westchester County that I find beautiful and inspiring, an expression of appreciation for the area in which I live. I considered the music of local composers such as Aaron Copland and Bob James, who may have been inspired by this same landscape. Hudson Views was composed for my group, Vento Trio, and consists of four movements that portray different locations in Westchester: River Groove (Tappanzee), Aqueduct Trail, Croton Gorge and Pocantico. I received a grant from the Westchester Arts Council to compose this work.
