Movement 1 - A City Morning. An impressionistic piece for small orchestra. Movement 2 - A City Night. A highly rhythmically dominated piece emphasizing the city's night life, tied together by the repeated opening motive, and working toward a climactic ending. Movement 3 - A Symphonic Monet, The sound equivalent (perhaps) of a Monet painting thru the use of sustainied and vague, slowly moving tonalities thruout.
