Movement 1 - Scherzo. An allegro fast movement with some repeating and some contrasting sections, ending with a climactic finale section. Movement 3 - Lento. A sustained slow movement animated here and there with fster material, but reaching no climax, and ending quietly. Movement 3 - Rondo Burlesque. A neoclassic rondo with a particularly impudent repeating first section and unusual subordinate sections, ending loudly.
