About this work:
Movement 1 - Maestoso. Opens with a sustained section over a slow, steady beat. This sesction is displaced by a polyphonic rather avant garde section, auilding to a climax where the initial sustained section retaurns and comes to a climactic ending. Movement 2 - Andante Melancholia. This slow beginning becomes more passionate, rising to a climax before settling back to the melancholy of the opening; Movement 3 - Triumph. An aggressive allegro opening is followed by somewhat contrasting material, and then a slow fast beat and sustained background builds too a final climax.
